The Series 3000 Mkll is built to handle oxygen and toxic gas hazards in atmospheres that are deemed to be possibly explosive. Both indoor as well as outdoor use are possible and the device has been designed to be highly versatile. The housing of the Series 3000 MkII is flameproof and it has been manufactured for predominate use in Zone 1 applications.

Specific gas types applicable to this device include Chlorine (Cl2), Hydrogen (H2) Ammonia (NH3), Chlorine Dioxide (ClO2), Hydrogen Chloride (HCl), and Carbon Monoxide (CO).

A remote mount kit (optional accessory) can be added to the Series 3000 MkII to allow it to be installed in a Zone 0 environment. The MkIII model (note the difference to MkII) can be used with an IS barrier which allows the whole transmitter to be used for applications in Zone 0 environments.

A great choice for retrofit or new installations due to the loop powered 4-20 mA connection which means the device is low powered. The usual Honeywell ease of use is prevalent with the Series 3000 MkII due to its simple to read LCD screen and user-friendly interface. Software for fault diagnostics and a configurable calibration period keep maintenance tasks as easy as can be.

Detection that can be relied on is just one of the features of the Honeywell Series 3000 MkII which features an explosion proof build. The device is able to be either pole or wall mounted and has overall reduced installation and commissioning costs. It is a two wire loop powered oxygen and toxic gas detector. The display (which shows a visual gas reading) is powered by an industry standard 4-20mA gas transmitter.
