Portable Open-Path TDL Analyser

The Boreal GasFinder3 Laser Gas Detector is used for the continuous measurement of GHG emissions (CO2 and CH4), and is particularly suitable for monitoring landfill sites.

A lightweight and portable unit, the GasFinder3 OP provides information on the average concentration of gas in the measurement path. The open path detection laser technique works by emitting an invisible laser beam that is sensitive only to the gas of interest. The Reflector Array returns the laser beam to the detector which then calculates the concentration of the gas in the measurement path.

Featuring fast response, self-calibration, no moving parts or consumables, the monitor can also be combined with Radial Plume Mapping (RPM) software to generate concentration maps and flux estimates.

It features a brand-new digital platform which features graphical displays and a simple to use touch-screen. A USB port has been included to allow for easy analyser updates.

Boreal state that there is basically no temperature related reading drift over the range of -40C to 50C.

It is built for reliability and operation is stable in light levels to 5% of ideal conditions.

Modbus, 4-20mA, Ethernet (DHCP or Static IP), USB and Serial connectivity options are all possible.

Telnet and FTP protocols are possible and soon HTTP will also be available.
You will be pleased to know that you don’t need an oscilloscope as all arrays can be visualized on the inbuilt touchscreen.

The Boreal GasFinder3 Open-path gas detector has been designed to handle the coldest of winters and warmest of summers. Maintenance requirements have been kept to a minimum and the device is capable of performing its own, rather sophisticated, self-diagnostics. You have the option of having a reading every second or an independent sample.

Lastly, there are zero memory effects and you won’t experience any interference from other gases.

Combines both ease of use with continuously acquired data, ready for analysis.
